Tiago Pinto Mateus

Researcher

Tiago received his B.Sc. (2008) and M.Sc. (2010) degrees in Materials Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He worked at the R&D department of Solar Plus - Produção de Painéis Solares SA (2009-2010), a Portuguese company dedicated to the manufacturing, marketing and development of Thin Film solar modules based on amorphous silicon semiconductors were he researched in the area of nanostructured silicon solar cells deposited by PECVD.

He is currently working as a researcher on the project Nanomorph and Nano-SiPV cells, both works focused on the development of nanomorphous silicon solar cells. This work is being developed in materials research center, CENIMAT, Universidade Nova de Lisboa under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Isabel Ferreira and Dr. Sergej Filonovich.

His research interests are related to the production of amorphous, polymorphous, and nanocrystaline silicon solar cells by PECVD and deposited in different types of substrates and in the electro-optical characterization of photovoltaic devices.
