Academic Profile M.Sc. (2003-2005) in Physics from Vidyasagar University, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, India. Ph.D. (2014) From University of Calcutta ( Department of Solid State Physics, IACS, Kolkata, India.) Advisor: Prof. Durga Basak Thesis Title: “Structure, microstructure and photophysical properties of ZnO based nanocomposites”. - Main scientific interests Synthesis of different types of oxide materials: I am expertise to fabricate different types of semiconducting nanomaterials such as ZnO,TiO2, CdS, ZnS, CuS etc. in various forms such as nanorods, nanowires, QDs etc. using different types of solution based techniques. I am very much interested to grow different types of oxide materials by applying spray pyrolysis techniques. Synthesis of doped oxide materials: By applying spray pyrolysis technique I want to synthesize different doped oxide materials in thin film form to develop device based structures. Development of different opto-electronic devices: I have worked on different types of ZnO based nanocomposite structures and observed different characterizations. It is confirmed that these composite nanostructures can be used as UV photodetector materials, luminescent devices and also used in different areas of electronics as well as high-speed electro-optic devices. That means the subject of my research work is based on the applications of the composite semiconductor materials as UV photodetector or luminescent materials. In future I want to work on the fabrication of photovoltaics using doped Cu2O materials with ZnO.
