Fellow

I am Ghulam Abbas, currently working as a research fellow at Materials Science Department of Faculty of Science and Technology of New University of Lisbon on the c- Silicon/Perovskite based high efficiency tandem solar cells research project. Previously, I have done master’s in Physics from International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan with distinction. My master’s degree project was “structural and dielectric properties of Fe2O3 nano particle added CuTl-1223 nano-superconductor composites”. I have done the synthesis of nanoparticles, bulk superconducting material, and characterizations of the nano-superconductor composites. I also worked on the synthesis and characterization of inorganic perovskite-based optoelectronic devices. I have gained expertise in several analysis and characterization techniques which includes, XRD, SEM, TEM, RT and IV (by Keithly 4200), UV and PL analysis, EBL for substrate patterning and dielectric measurements by LCR meter for characterization of samples and theoretical analysis tools like C++ and Python and plotting the results by Origin software.  I’ve gained good experimental command on the synthesis of bulk as well as stable quantum dots, single crystal synthesis of inorganic perovskites, uniform solution processable thin film deposition and their utilization in thin film photovoltaic, resistive switching memory and other optoelectronic devices. I have 8 research publicationswith cumulative impact factor of more than 60 in high ranked research journals.
