Get Inspired by Nature! Cellulose for collecting water from air humidity
In this activity we showed how nature is a great source of inspiration for the production of new materials/devices.Visitors were be able to observe natural structures that are mainly made up of cellulose, such as seeds. Some of these structures have the ability to change shape in the presence of water.
Visitors realized the importance of knowing the organization of the materials as well as the mechanisms associated with movement in response to the presence of water.
Several examples of materials developed and under development using Nature as inspiration were presented.
