Research Interests

Stabilization of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients by incorporation in organic/inorganic hybrids and mesoporous silicates with different pore sizes and functional groups to enhance its solubility/bioavailability. Study of the molecular mobility of the host and correlate it with the release profile, complementing with bioactivity/biocompatibility assessment that ensures application therapy.

Techniques: Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Dielectric Relaxation Spectroscopy (DRS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy – Attenuated Total Reflectance (FTIR–ATR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy – Magic Angle Spinning (NMR–MAS), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
