The Observatory of Technology Assessment (the Portuguese accronym is OAT) is a research unit of CICS.NOVA approved on 17 July 2015. Its founding assembly took place on December 9th where the by-laws and governing bodies were approved. The members of IET/CICS.NOVA integrate the OAT.

Diana RIbeiro was selected by the Scientific Committeee of the 11th International Meeting of the Portuguese Carbohydrate Group (GLUPOR11) & 6th Iberian Carbohydrate Meeting, as one of the three best poster presentations. The meeting was held at the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, from the 6th to the 10th of September, 2015.
The NOVA Doctoral School was created as a fundamental strategic option, aiming to promote quality, interdisciplinary education and the internationalization of the university’s doctoral programmes.
IET is a multi-disciplinary research unit of CICS.NOVA research centre, located in FCT-UNL, a faculty in the area of engineering, science and technology. IET was founded as an independent research centre in 2002 from various research groups with experience in national and international networks. Ten years after started a process to FCT-UNL pole of CESNOVA research centre. And from 2014 CESNOVA was integrated with other research centres in the new CICS.NOVA,
The PhD programme on TA will start a cooperation with the PhD programme on Sociology from next year. In 2015-16, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH) will become the coordinator of the inter-university programme on Sociology together the Universities of Lisbon, Évora and Algarve.
