Isabel Moura and José Moura at the European Academy of Science

The European Academy of Sciences (EURASC), created in 2003, is an international, independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation with the most distinguished academics and engineers who have contributed to the conduct of cutting-edge research and the progress of leading technologies, united by a commitment to promote Science and Technology and their essential roles in fostering social and economic development. Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, it has around 850 members, including 25 Nobel Prize-winning researchers.
EURASC aims to recognize and elect for its members the best European scientists with a vision for Europe as a whole, transcending national borders. Among its objectives, it aims to strengthen European scientific cooperation and to employ the knowledge of its members to advise other European bodies about improving European research, technological application and social development.
