New article just accepted!

Cunha et al. (2019) Was just accepted for publication in Aquatic Toxicology. The manuscript explore the phyllogeny of CYPs in mussels, through sequencing of CYP-like mRNAs in the Mediterranean mussel, Mytilus galloprovincialis. See our publication here

Participation in NOVA STEAM Academy

NOVA STEAM academy is a summer school created for students of the 3º Cycle of basic education and high school with curiosity to know from inside the academic world. The STEAM academy provides direct contact between students, teachers and researchers through scientific, ludic and ludic-sportive activities.

Ciência Viva no Laboratório 2019

Our lab participated in "Ciência Viva no Laboratório 2019" and hosted two high school students for a week. 

Affinity 2019 Conference

In June we were 3 days in Stockholm - June 26 to 28th - discussing affinity technology, molecular recognition and its application in industry at the Affinity 2019 Conference.

Rita Oliveira, Gonçalo Teixeira and Cecília Roque presented their work at the poster session and Manuel Matos gave a talk about 'Purification platform for antibodies & antibody based-fragments based on a de novo designed affinity adsorbent'.

New publications about SCENT project

Two papers were published related to SCENT project and our E-noose methodology to distinguish odours. Early this year, on February, Gonçalo Santos and Ana Carolina Pádua were both in Prague to attend the Biodevices 2019 Conference and the Proceedings of the 12th International Joint Conference on Biomedical Engineering Systems and Technologies were now released.

MineHeritage - Kick-off Meeting

The MineHeritage Consortium met for the Kick-Off Meeting of the project in Lisbon Portugal. Twenty-five delegates from the 13 partners gathered at FCT NOVA on the 19th and 20th of February to discuss the project workplan for the manifold activities of MineHeritage.

It took place last 21st June 2019 a conference and project meeting of an European project where CICS.NOVA is partner. Coordinator of the PhD program invited to the Cybersecurity Observatory

António B. Moniz, coordinator of the PhD program on Technology Assessment at Nova University of Lisbon, was recently invited to take part in the Cybersecurity Observatory (OCS) which belongs to the National Cybersecurity Centre (CNCS).
The OCS is a platform for analysis and knowledge systematization around multidisciplinary themes related to cybersecurity. It identifies trends, and discusses information on social and economical aspects of cybersecurity, public policies, ethics and risk management.
