Short bio
Dr. Amjid Rafique works in the field of synthesis of nanomaterials, energy storage devices, functionalization of textile substrate energy storage and harvesting, characterization and applications. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in CENIMAT|i3N from NOVA School of Science and Technology. He is working on project All-FIBRE that aims at the development of fiber-shaped photovoltaic storage devices able to harvest and store energy to supply electronic textiles while keeping wearable, lightweight and flexibility characteristics. He has completed his Ph.D. from Politecnico di Torino Italy and also worked as research associate in the same university. His research work is focused on functional nanomaterial, composite nanomaterial and surface modification of textile substrates exploiting functional nanomaterials for sensing and flexible energy storage devices. He has worked on variety of nanomaterials including Electrospun Fibers, Metal/Metal Oxides, Carbon Based Nanomaterials( activated carbon, graphene and reduce Graphene oxides, Polymeric Materials, and composites. He has published 5 research papers in high impact factor international journals. He has also received two research awards Politecnico di Torino Italy.
