"Why this MSc? Apart from the taste for the scientific field of Biotechnology, I opted for this Masters as it would give me the opportunity to choose different professional paths. This proved to be true during the first year of the course where I had the opportunity to get closer to many different areas as management, economics and entrepreneurship.

I developed a profound interest on Entrepreneurship. I did a break on my masters and went to work for the Science Park of Madrid, where I approached the "start ups" and got in close contact with the mechanisms for transferring products from lab to market.

I then returned to Portugal and had the opportunity to develop my Master dissertation in the fields of Marketing, Economics, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship. I am currently working in this area, dealing with the protection of technologies and creating value from lab to market. "
