2011 (started) – PhD on Conservation Science with thesis entitled “A new insights on the 17th and 18th century Portuguese glass collections: study and preservation” being developed on Vicarte (Research Unit "Glass and Ceramic for the Arts") and Requimte (largest network in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering established in Portugal), Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal.

2006-2008 – Master degree in Conservation and Restoration with thesis entitled “Resinas epoxídicas – estudos de envelhecimento acelerado e sua aplicação em Conservação e Restauro de Vidro” (“Epoxy resins – induced aging studies and its application on Glass Conservation and Restoration”), Conservation and Restoration Department, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal.

2003-2006 – Bachelor degree on Conservation and Restoration, Conservation and Restoration Department, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal.

Professional experience:

2009 – National Palace of Pena, Sintra, Portugal. An interdisciplinary work was developed in order to diagnose and determine a treatment strategy for the stained glass window from the Palace’s main chapel. Followed to the diagnose phase and after the state of conservation being assessed the stained glass panels suffered a conservation and restoration intervention that began with cleaning, union of broken glass fragments, treatment of the lead came and finally stained glass panels replacement on the original window.

2008-2009 – Glass and Ceramics Conservation and Restoration Laboratory, Conservation and Restoration Department, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. The work consisted on the elaboration of several diagnoses, analysis and intervention in several glass and ceramic objects from archaeological sites, museums and particular provenance.
