Project GreenTech completed

Project GreenTech terminated at 31 December 2019, with much success. Our project yielded far more results than expected and that we will be analysing for quite some time. Most importantly, we developed a series of methodological pipelines to discover and characterise novel bioproducts from the European Atlantic marine fauna, especially invertebrates.

We therefore salute and thank our case study, Eulalia, for all the challenges, joys and troubles!

Explorations on the associated microbiome of marine invertebrates

The work undertaken by one of our undergrad students, Luís Tanoeiro, on the microbiome of Eulalia resulted in 16S rna tags for novel bacterial strains:

Project GreenTech at IMMR 2018

A.P. Rodrigo presented the latest results from GreenTech at this year's IMMR (International Meeting on Marine Research), at Peniche, Portugal,(an oral communication). We highlight the work done to charcterise new fluorophores from Eulalia. See further details here: 10.3389/conf.FMARS.2018.06.00015.

GreenTech at the 3rd Congress of CiiEM

We will be presenting a compilation of results from GreenTech and other research at the Third International Congress of CiiEM, on the 22nd of June.

GreenTech publishes in Scientific Reports

Project GreenTech just saw one of its feature publications published in Scientific Reports.

Presentations at CBM

GreenTech was represented at the CBM conference, January 2018, by the presentations by  A.P. Rodrigo (left) and C. Martins (right), on toxins and pigments, respectively, besides a poster.

Oral presentations:
