Telma Ribeiro

Biography

Telma Ribeiro (b. 1985) graduated in 2006 with the Bachelor degree and in 2008 with the Master degree both in the Department of Conservation and Restoration of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology - NOVA University of Lisbon (DCR/FCT-UNL). In 2009 she started working for a private company of conservation, developing several works, such as: conservation and restoration of the stone and lead sculptures of Queluz National Palace; conservation and restoration of Alexandre Herculano’s grave in Jerónimos Monastery; and supporting the Popular Art Museum building’s conservation project. In 2013, as an independent worker, she participated in different monuments’ conservation works, including the conservation and requalification of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima.
Since March 2016, she is a PhD student in Conservation Science, and her project is being developed with a partnership between two institutions: Department of Conservation and Restoration (FCT/UNL) and the Civil Engineer Department (Minho University).
