HERACLES - H2020

Heritage Resilience after Climate Events on Site

HERACLES is an European project with the aim to designvalidate and promote responsive systems/solutions for effective resilience of CH against climate change effects, considering as a mandatory premise an holistic, multidisciplinary approach through the involvement of different expertise’s (end-users, industry/SMEs, scientists, conservators/restorers and social experts, decision, and policy makers).

Profiting from the H2020 HERACLES project, three case studies are being analyzed for a detailed knowledge of the nature of materials used in built heritage and for the definition of analytical and monitoring protocols of intervention on monuments along with the development of diagnostic methodologies and technologies. Work will involve structural, chemical and physical characterization of ancient, current and new materials for the conservation and restoration of monuments.
